My $12.50 didn’t go that far this week. I am very happy that I got to my 50,000 CTP Power goal last week. CTP tokens have gone up a bit this week and it is a little more difficult to get them right now. I believe that is because next month on January 13th, 2022, Jon and Blain are launching what they call Project Bowtie. There will be an airdrop for people who have Swap.Hive and liquid CTP. Not sure of the rest of the details. I am also participating in the CTP Swarm CTP Staking Contest. My plan is to divide whatever I get from buying CTP tokens and earning them. The Staking contest ends on the 22nd of December. Then I will divide what I buy between staking, liquid CTP and Swap.Hive.
My Other Goals Will Be on the Backburner For Awhile
Yes, even my goal to reach Dolphin in Hive may wait till next year. I am still going to get whatever Hive I can from content creation, upvoting, and curating. Probably won’t get to Dolphin till early next year. And that’s okay! It’s not the end of the world for me. There are so many fun things going on that I want to be able to take part in as much as possible. I want to be flexible for whatever might come along too.

A little background. Many years ago I bought a course called the Proven Amazon Course to learn how to sell items on Amazon. I did learn how to do that. And then decided that it wasn’t for me. I like the idea of selling physical products online but didn’t want the inventory cluttering my space at home.
Recently I sent some books to Amazon using their Fulfilled By Amazon program. That renewed my interest in the eCommerce business model. I never really lost interest but I still don’t want to put my hands on the inventory. That is a sticking point for me.
I belong to a group on Facebook started by the owner of the Proven Amazon Course. His name is Jim Cockrum. He wrote a book many years ago called The Silent Sales Machine. It has since gone through many editions. This year they are having a virtual conference called Ecommerce Opportunity 2022 Conference. It is free to people who have purchased the Proven Amazon Course. They are live streaming presentations today and tomorrow and they will be recorded as well.
One of the speakers I listened to this morning talked about how the voice we hear the loudest in our minds is our own. That means that we have to be really careful about how we talk to ourselves. He also talked about the two paths from which we need to choose. The first path is the one of compromise and giving up on our dreams. The second is one of sacrifice and not making excuses. Either path or choice will get us to the same destination which is what we deserve.
Is it still considered travel if you’re only going two hours away? It’s a little road trip anyway. My sister is hosting Thanksgiving at her house in Madison, WI. She wanted to do it last year but COVID took that away. So tomorrow morning Roy, Dad and I are heading out to spend Thanksgiving with my sister and her son and some of our cousins.
Most of tomorrow is going to be spent setting up and prepping for the big Thanksgiving meal on Thursday. Our cousins are bringing the appetizers, desserts and wine. It will be fun to see them again. It’s been awhile.
My Dad is a born designer and decorator. When he was growing up it wasn’t acceptable for a man to pursue that as a career. But he and my mother spent years entertaining as a hobby and they were awesome at it. He is still awesome at it but gets frustrated with me because I haven’t picked up on the decorating and entertaining. There was a bit of tension going on between Dad and I earlier. I get very stressed and anxious and if I feel like too much is happening at the last minute, it’s worse. When my sister was here she picked up a bunch of supplies and chairs to take back. But we are still taking half the house with us tomorrow. Or so it seems. Believe it or not writing this blog post is helping to relieve some of that stress.
So now it’s time to chill out and relax and get some clothes and stuff packed for our little road trip. We’ll be back on Friday sometime. I am just glad we’re not having to get on a plane to go anywhere far. I’d rather not spend Thanksgiving stranded in an airport. Thank you very much. If you celebrate Thanksgiving Have a Happy One!
Let me start out by saying that I have been to some higher-ticket live coaching events. They were really good but what happens after that is what matters.
This morning an ad for this event appeared in my Facebook feed. I couldn’t resist. I had to click through to find out what the investment was for an event like this. I almost feel off my chair.
I have nothing against Tony Robbins. He’s actually pretty interesting and I have heard some videos from him. Still don’t get the whole walking on hot coals thing though. That’s always been a weird thing I don’t understand. How is walking on hot coals going to help me build my business, exactly? Pretty sure that’s just me. Another advantage of attending a virtual event like this is that you can stay home in your sweats or pajamas. No added travel expenses either. I didn’t copy the whole list of features.
Most People Can’t Dream of Justifying This Level of Investment
So, are there ways to get coaching without putting out thousands of dollars for a week? Sure are!
I belong to a great community of entrepreneurs called Click Track Profit. They have a Telegram group and someone is always there to lend a hand and answer questions. Click Track Profit also has an Inner Circle Mastermind group to which I belong as well. That is a paid membership but well within my budget and on Wednesday nights we have our video calls where we talk about what we are doing in our business and where we need help to improve. There is a Telegram group that goes with the Inner Circle Mastermind where every morning Blain asks how they can help us build our business.
Any other ways to get coaching for little or no financial investment?
Listen to Podcasts: There are a ton of them out there and sometimes even listening to podcasts that have nothing to do with business can spark some creative ideas. Podcasts are the listening choice of many high-income and successful people.
Watch a Ted Talk: They’re usually pretty short if you’re pressed for time.
Read books by authors who you would like to have as coaches. Sometimes you can get sample chapters on Amazon if you don’t want to or can’t buy the book.
There you go! Three ways to get coaching for your business or other parts of your life you’d like to improve without having to shell out hundreds or thousands of dollars.
Friday Isn’t the Only Day I Increase My Index Holdings
Each day I go to my Wallet on Hive-Engine to search for tokens to trade for Hive so I can buy more Index. As of today I am up to 544.79243031 HE-Index.
Now that I have reached that and surpassed that goal I am setting the next one for 1000 HE-Index. Haven’t set a date to reach it. The plan is to just keep stacking what I can everyday from what I am earning. Then on Fridays I will do my add my weekly FIAT allowance for buying in.
There are fees involved in trading and buying crypto currency. When I logged in to Coinbase today, I watched some videos that were available and the crypto I earned made up for the fees that would have reduced my $12.50 funding. It only took me a couple extra minutes to do that. Between that and the FIAT I was able to purchase around 15 more Hive to use for my purchase of Index.
My Fixation on Increasing My Index Holdings Has Taken Attention Away From My Hive Power Goal.
I am still 877.215 Hive away from Dolphin Status. I have only been claiming the Hive Power I am getting from commenting and curating. Haven’t been buying and powering up any Hive. So I either have to do way more content creation and curation or add to my out of pocket investment to get to the 5000 HP goal by the end of the year.
There are only six weeks left of the year. So I need to power up 146.2025 Hive each week to make it to 5000 by December 31st. I may have to switch up the way I am allocating my priorities.
One Thing That Would Help Is to Finally be able to Get those XTM tokens Brought Over to Hive.
As of today in my Metamask Wallet the transaction to swap XTM to ETH is still pending. But when I look at it in Etherscan it says that the transaction was dropped. It’s so confusing. It seems like I should be able to start the transaction over again and do it correctly. It would be nice to get this sorted out soon so that I can reach my Dolphin Status goal by the end of the year.
My CTP Power Holdings are Almost At 50000 CTP Power
I am leaving one of my delegations in place and it seems that someone else delegated 300 HP to me awhile back. I am at 49000.154 CTP Power with the delegations. So I only need around 999.846 to be at 50K CTP Power. I am keeping the 10K delegation I have out to the CTP Swarm Booster tribe @ctpsb because I want to support it and I am getting a return on it. So, more passive income for me.
That is all for my update this week. Just keeping consistent and stacking every day. Pretty simple. Not as easy to stay disciplined and on track. I am managing to do it though. Just a few more tasks for today and then I have the evening to myself.
Yesterday I was prepping for a medical procedure and spent most of the day away from my computer. I got home at around ten this morning after having to be there at 7 for the procedure that was scheduled at 8 am. Feels good to have it all done. The medical procedures must increase as we get older. I don’t have to do it again for another 5 years and by then I will be on Medicare.
I Was Away From My Desk But Managed to Fit in Some Curation Using My Phone
And while I was sitting on the couch using my phone to post comments on Hive, Roy was busy assembling my new desk/workstation.
It has a shelf for my external monitor so now I don’t have a stack of books taking up space. There isn’t a bar going across the bottom like the table I was using so I can sit closer. It has a hook on the side for my headset and a nice big drawer. The table I was using is an antique that my parents acquired a long time ago. It is nice but I wasn’t able to sit close enough and it was causing some of my knee pain. Kind of like in the car where I have to sit so close I pray the airbag never gets activated. That would hurt. But if I don’t sit close enough I can’t reach the pedals. Short girl problems.
My next investments will be some good lighting and a decent microphone. All in due time.
Still Waiting for My Metamask Transaction to Get Unstuck.
And today I was poking around on Brave to check out their new wallet feature. I had to get a new seed phrase and password. I didn’t spend too much time looking for the old one. Evidently, I have an Etherium wallet there too.
That Metamask transaction is still pending. The frustrating part of that is that there are tokens that will be moved. I hope it just fails soon so I can start it over. Might do the trade using another platform though.
Tonight is Thursday Night Live @ 8 p.m. EST
Jon and Blain will be streaming their always awesome online marketing, entrepreneur, and affiliate marketing training. Join us live on their Click Track Profit Facebook Page, Twitch.tv, and Vimm.tv You can catch the replay but live is so much more fun!
See you there tonight! Have a great rest of your day!
I joined Torum earlier this year. It is a social media platform for crypto currency enthusiasts. They have their own token called XTM. Members earn the tokens when they complete missions/tasks on the site. It is a great place to learn more about many different crypto currencies.
Jon mentioned it again in our Click Track Profit Telegram group recently and that reminded me that I hadn’t been there in awhile. It turns out that it was many months since I had been active there. I had about 895 XTM tokens that were sitting there in my wallet. I learned that I would have to complete a few extra steps to withdraw and convert them.
Moving the XTM from Torum to the Etherium Mainnet Using Metamask
The first thing I had to do is withdraw them to my ERC-20 wallet. What is that? It is a decentralized wallet. Okay!
I already have a Metamask wallet. I had to look for my password to unlock the browser extension and connect to my Torum wallet. Done. Now I had to withdraw the XTM. I opened my Metamask, connected it to Torum and made sure that Etherium Mainnet was selected. Next I copied my wallet address and pasted it into the Withdraw XTM form where it says ERC-20 Wallet address. I typed in the amount I wanted to withdraw and clicked on Confirm. It takes a day or two to get to the wallet.
While I Wait for the XTM to get to my ERC-20 Wallet
Jon completed his transaction yesterday. He told me that he added the XTM token to Metamask so he could get it swapped out. Blain told me how to do this today.
First I had to open the Metamask browser extension and scroll all the way to the bottom where it says Import Tokens.
I did a search first but XTM did not come up. It didn’t show up with a refresh either. So I clicked on Custom Token. This is where you import tokens that are not on the list in Meta mask.
It asks for the Contract Address of the token you want to import. When I asked Blain how to find that he gave me the address but also told me that they can be found on a site called Coin Gecko.
On the right hand side of the page under the buttons that say Buy/Sell, etc. there is all the information about the token. The contract address is right there. Look a little to the right and there is a Metamask icon. Click on it and it will import the Contract Address automatically. I already added the address to the form and when I did the other information filled in as well. And now?
Now I Must Wait Until My XTM appears in the Wallet
I was going to leave it in my wallet on Torum mostly because I felt a bit intimidated by the process of getting it out and paying a larger fee to do so. I chose to move it so I could learn how to do it knowing that I had the help and support of Blain, Jon and the rest of the CTP community. Even if I don’t end up with all of it after the conversion process, it is still money I wouldn’t otherwise have to use. It is also good to learn other ways to get things done. When the tokens appear in my wallet and it is time to do the swap I will share that with you as well.
I should really just be calling these Friday Goal Updates.
I started my “Buy Day” yesterday but I was using just what was in my wallet. The dollar cost averaging using the $12.50 a week is on Fridays.
As I was going through my wallet on Hive Engine yesterday I noticed that I had some tokens I could sell to get Hive tokens. One of them was the WAIV token that I sold to get 31 Hive. That was the most Hive I have had to use at one time. This was just from what I have earned from content creation and curation.
Added a Couple of CHAOS Legion Packs to My Holdings
So I used a little over 20 Hive to buy 2 CHAOS Legion Packs myself and get into that action on Splinterlands. I am not playing the game but I am very interested in the passive income opportunities that are available there.
I used the remainder of those Hive tokens to buy a little over 13 more Index.
At the end of all of this trading I was around 44 Index away from my goal of 500. For some reason I thought I would hit my goal between yesterday and today. But I am closer here.
Logged into Coinbase this Morning to Convert My FIAT to Hive
I started today by logging into Coinbase and funding my account with $13.99 because after the fees I was still under the $12.50 that I want to invest. That’s a little frustrating. I bought the Litecoin on Coinbase that I then sent to my wallet to buy Hive.
My next step was to log in to Leodex.io to deposit the Hive into my wallet.
I was able to get a little more Hive because the price was down slightly this morning.
I had a small amount of VOUCHER and some other tokens that I could sell to add to the 15 Hive and bring it up to around 22 Hive to use for buying more Index today.
Less Than 20 Index Away from My First Goal!
I have to admit that I am a bit disappointed. Just a bit. I know I will probably get there before next Friday. I will be rolling my earnings from other tokens into acquiring more Index throughout the week.
Dolphin Status on Hive is Not Terribly Far Away!
Once I reach my first Index Holdings Goal I am going to pour a little more of my FIAT into reaching my 5000 HP goal. I really want to get there by the end of the year. Most of the Hive Power I have is from my earnings.
I am back to creating posts more consistently and adding to that commenting on at least 10 posts from other people everyday. One of the keys is to find new people to engage with each day. Look for people who are just starting out and give them some encouragement to keep going. It doesn’t cost anything but a little bit of time to help people and raise them up.
Last But Not Least My CTP Power Goal
On our Inner Circle Mastermind this last Wednesday evening we were talking about our goals and how we were going to reach them. My third goal was to get my CTP Power goal to 50,000. Blain pointed out that if I just undelegated some of the tokens that were no longer being used I could get there fairly quickly. I began that process. They will be completed in the next few days. Once they’re completed I will be at 48,678.82 CTP Power. I will actually be over the 50K except for one 10K delegation I am leaving in place. Without it I am only 1,321.18 CTP Power away.
Not a bad week overall and a reinforcement of what Jon and Blain have been telling us all along. I don’t have money and I don’t have time are just excuses. I haven’t used very much money out of pocket until recently and I have found pockets of time to create content and comment on posts from other people.
This morning we drove into Chicago to stay at the condo for an overnight. When we got almost here we ran into a road closure. We had to reroute and that is where I freaked out a bit. I am glad I wasn’t driving. Roy was driving and my Dad was sitting in the back seat. They were both very chill about the whole thing.
There are so many one-way streets here in the city and so many were closed off. Very frustrating. It’s a good thing my Dad knows his way around here like the back of his hand and got us through all the craziness.
My business journey has had many bumps and roadblocks as well. Some of it was because of personal things going on in my life that I couldn’t control. Some of it was under my control. I have to say that I handled them quite a bit better than I handled the drive today. When I come down here on my own I take the train. I like moving. Not just sitting still in traffic and not being able to see the road ahead. But that is me and something I need to improve upon. We are not always going to know what is ahead. Can’t fret about it. Just need to course-correct as necessary.
This has been a pretty good week and so I don’t mind that it is already Friday.
I have been working on my Lead Capture Pages for another project and with that, I learned how to create a link rotator. My goal is to have most everything for my projects hosted on my domain in order to build my brand.
On our Click Track Profit, Inner Circle Mastermind Blain introduced me to the Bootstrap CSS framework for building pages that look good on mobile phones. If you don’t know what CSS stands for, it’s Cascading Style Sheets. My understanding of it is that it’s what makes your pages look pretty. I spent some time with it this morning and I will probably work with it again this afternoon.
I was trying to use it to put my favicon on my lead capture pages so that they will show up as my blog posts do. The little picture of me up there on the tab is a favicon. It lets your audience know that they have reached your site. Right now my lead capture pages don’t have them and it’s a little frustrating. But I will get it figured out. I enjoy trying to work on stuff and find the answers myself first. I don’t wait too long to ask questions though because I have so much I want to get done. Sometimes I am even able to help other people and share what I have learned.
One of the best ways to retain what you have learned is to teach it to someone else. That is much easier to do when the audience you’re trying to teach or train is receptive to learning. In my corporate job I had two people reporting to me who were not so receptive to learning how to catalog. I gave up because it was just easier for me to do it myself. And I loved the cataloging part of my job way more than the supervising part.
I hope everyone has a great rest of your Friday. I will be back here again tomorrow.
