Had a Whole Week of Adjusting to My New Schedule

There are Three of Us Sharing the Hours at the Reception Desk

Because of this we are all documenting what takes place on each of our shifts. Some of the tasks have to carry over to the next person’s shift.

For example, I worked Monday morning from 8 until 12:30 when my cousin came in and took over for her afternoon shift. While I was working I answered some phone calls, listened to voicemails and went through text messages. These were all on the phone, laptop and iPad of my cousin who is the CPA for whom we are working.

I wrote down the content of all the texts and voicemails and scheduled some appointments for people to come in and drop off, pick up or sit with the CPA and have their taxes done in person. As I finished each of these tasks I crossed them off the list I created. Part of the issue is that the synching between the devices isn’t the best. So when I deleted a voicemail from the phone it still appeared on the laptop. That is one of the reasons that writing everything down is necessary. And we are keeping these notes in case there are any questions from clients in the future. All of these notes go to the CPA so that as he has time he can make the calls that he needs to make. He does come and check periodically to make sure that there is nothing he has to take care of urgently. He is really good about being available to answer questions.

Anyway, last Monday, when my cousin who is the CPA’s mother-in-law, came in for her shift we went over all my notes from the morning. And later that afternoon some of the messages that I deleted from the phone came up on the laptop. So she texted me to make find out what appointments I had scheduled. I had taken the notes I took home with me so I was able to refer back to them. But now we are leaving everything in a folder at the front desk with the date and who was working that day.

So What is the Lesson I Learned for My Business?

Bitmoji Image

I have been keeping daily track of my progress with my goals. Taking notes everyday on what I earned, what I staked and the new totals. I am hoping that this will help me with creating my post for the week. I think it will because prior to this I was spending at least an hour or more trying to find the information and now I have my notes in front of me while I am working on this post.

I never really saw the need for documenting my work or it just didn’t sink in until now. Even though I am the only one working on my business, having it written/typed out will help me see how far I have come at the end of the year. An inducement to keep going and not give up.

Progress on my Goals for the Last Week 2/12 through Today!

My focus is still mainly on Hive Power and HE-Index. I did veer slightly away from HE-Index this week though. I chose, instead, to use my fiat this week to power up Hive to get closer to Dolphin status.

I also bought two more CHAOS packs this week that I will hold on to so that I can sell them later on. I am not opening them. Since I am not playing the game I would rather just get the passive income.

My fiat investment went a little further this week because I didn’t do my weekly Hive purchase until this morning and Hive had dropped below $1 per token. That wasn’t on purpose. I just never got around to buying any crypto yesterday.

CTP Power Increased in CTPtalk and List Nerds

When List Nerds launched last month I powered down 10K CTP tokens to transfer to List Nerds and stake them there. That was so that I could have more voting power in both places. Right now on List Nerds I have over 400 votes that I can use every day verify emails in my inbox on the platform. That earns me more CTP tokens and Mail tokens.

This last week I have increased my CTP staked on CTP talk to 43,349.484 from the 43,111.047 that I started with on 2/12. That is an increase of 238.438 or around 0.55% and about 86% of the 50K plus that it was before I sent the 10k over to List Nerds.

On List Nerds I have 11,149.368 CTP staked. An increase of 52.739 or 0.475% CTP staked from last week. I am staking the CTP tokens that I earn on List Nerds in List Nerds and the CTP tokens that I earn on CTPtalk in CTPtalk.

Still Waiting to for Last Week’s Email to be Verified on List Nerds

But from last week to today I staked a total of 5.922 additional ListNerds tokens. That was just from what I earned by having ListNerds staked. The only place you can stake them is on the List Nerds platform. Last week’s email should be verified tomorrow or so. It takes 7 to 10 days for that to happen.

I increased my ListNerds stake by roughly 14% from last week to today.

And my click through rate on last week’s email was a bit higher than the week before.

And now the email is verified so I am just waiting to see how many ListNerds tokens it will earn. The payouts happen anywhere from 7 to 10 days after your email is sent.

This next week I will be making use of the auto mailer feature in List Nerds. I have access to it because I have the Business level membership. After I am done with this post I will be going back there to read the emails in my inbox.

My Journey to Dolphin Status

Animal, Dolphin, Mammal, Marine, Drawing

My purchase of Hive this week was 14.833 and I powered those tokens up. Between what I earned this week, 8.166 and what I bought and staked, my Hive Power is at 4,536.640 HP today.

Hive Power 2/12: 4,512.872

Hive Power 2/19: 4,536.640

Increase of 23.768 or 0.53%

Percent of 5000: 90.7%

That is All for this Week!

Have a great rest of your weekend. I am off to finish my other tasks for today!

Staying the Course and Sticking To My Plan — Only 2 Weeks to Year’s End

Started Out In Coinbase As Usual

Last week when I did my usual buy I thought I had set it up to do a weekly buy for the same amount. It looks like a buy went through on the 13th but I don’t see where it is in Coinbase. In any case I cancelled it now because I like more control. I did make another purchase today and ended up with around 7 Hive to use. I may be out $12.50 if I can’t find out what happened to that purchase. If that’s the worst of it, no big deal. I have lost way more than that buying shiny objects in the past.

Next I Went to Hive Engine

I sold some other tokens because I wanted to increase the total of pegged Hive to buy more Index. That is my focus right now. I found some Voucher I could sell in my wallet. There was a little more in Bee Swap to send to my Hive Engine wallet. I ended up with 10.9 to buy my Index this week.

Buying Index for this week

I Was Going to Buy Some More CHAOS Packs

Instead I chose to focus on increasing my HE-Index holdings. First of all I need to buy potions to open the 20 packs I already have. To do that I need to figure out how many potions I need to buy of each type to open the 20 packs. I only want to buy what I need since I am doing this on a budget.

With the Hive that I purchased and traded for today I was able to buy 13 more Index tokens.

1,231.9835793 HE-Index Tokens as of today 12-17-2021

My Dolphin Dream for Hive Power Progress

With only 2 more Fridays left of this year I know I will not reach Dolphin Status. I knew that weeks ago.

As of today I have chosen to take all of my payouts for curation and content creation in Hive Power. I am converting my HBD to Hive and powering it up anyway. So might as well just skip the time that it takes for the conversion and just get the Hive Power. I am at 0.876063 or around 88% of my way to Dolphin.

I Have Been Participating in the Latest CTP Power Up Challenge

That will end on the 22nd of this month. I just want to see how much I can increase my CTP stake. After the contest I will be powering some of that down to liquid CTP. Because on the 13th of January, Jon and Blain are launching something big that will require having liquid CTP tokens. They are calling it Project Bowtie. It is not a new program but they are redoing a program they already own. So, I won’t be selling CTP tokens. Not a chance. I am going to be investing in the new project.

Next Week is Christmas Eve

I will do my best to get an update posted anyway. In order to get that done I will most likely have to work on it next Thursday. So now I have said it and it has to happen. Anyway, have a great weekend. See you again soon.

Awesome Things Happen When You Are Active, Stay Consistent, and Take Action!!

Last Night on the Crypto Monday webinar @blainjones gave away $1000 dollars worth of Crypto! The prizes went to the 23 people who finished the CTP Content Challenge that started in August and ended last month.

In order to complete the challenge, we had to create content on the blockchain using one account for 30 days in a row. We had to post our content by midnight UTC to count for that day and have #ctpcontent as one of the first tags. Blain took the time to read each of the posts and track where everyone was in the challenge. In my case, UTC was five hours ahead of my time zone which is Central Standard Time.

Crypto Monday Webinar was an Hour Earlier Last Night

Somebody had something else to do at 8 pm EST. It was actually good for people in the later time zones who have to stay up late to be on the live stream.

Jon and Blain started the webinar by talking about the upcoming project that is being launched on January 13th. You can watch the replay here! You’re going to want to stock up on CTP tokens and keep them liquid not staked.

Then the Prize Wheels

Blain talked about the CTP Content Challenge and that he would be spinning three prize wheels for the 23 people who completed the #ctpcontent Challenge. He wanted to give away $1000 and polled the community to ask how we’d like it done. We chose to have four different prizes. The 1000 dollar prize pool was split up into different amounts on the third wheel. Here is a link to Blain’s post with all the prizes and the people who won them : https://peakd.com/hive-119826/@blainjones/ctp-content-challenge-winners

My Turn to Win Came at Just After the 27 Minute Mark!

The next accumulation goal I chose for HE-Index is 1500. And the prize I won pushed me in that direction.

And the amount I won was a huge surprise:

Yeah, $100 worth of HE-Index added to my holdings! Pretty awesome stuff! So now I am up to 1,148 Index tokens. Just 352 tokens away from my next goal. Thanks again Blain and Jon! Congratulations Again to Everyone on the Prize Wheel!

The Next Challenge will be a Comment Challenge

Early next year! No date has been set as of yet.

See you next time!

My Friday Buy Day Update for 12/03/2021 — Getting Ready for Click Track Profit’s Project Bowtie Launch.

My $12.50 didn’t go that far this week. I am very happy that I got to my 50,000 CTP Power goal last week. CTP tokens have gone up a bit this week and it is a little more difficult to get them right now. I believe that is because next month on January 13th, 2022, Jon and Blain are launching what they call Project Bowtie. There will be an airdrop for people who have Swap.Hive and liquid CTP. Not sure of the rest of the details. I am also participating in the CTP Swarm CTP Staking Contest. My plan is to divide whatever I get from buying CTP tokens and earning them. The Staking contest ends on the 22nd of December. Then I will divide what I buy between staking, liquid CTP and Swap.Hive.

My Other Goals Will Be on the Backburner For Awhile

Yes, even my goal to reach Dolphin in Hive may wait till next year. I am still going to get whatever Hive I can from content creation, upvoting, and curating. Probably won’t get to Dolphin till early next year. And that’s okay! It’s not the end of the world for me. There are so many fun things going on that I want to be able to take part in as much as possible. I want to be flexible for whatever might come along too.

Now It Is Time to Go and Finish My Other Tasks for Today!

See you again soon!

Compromise or Sacrifice — Either One Will Get You What You Deserve — Which Path Will You Take?

A little background. Many years ago I bought a course called the Proven Amazon Course to learn how to sell items on Amazon. I did learn how to do that. And then decided that it wasn’t for me. I like the idea of selling physical products online but didn’t want the inventory cluttering my space at home.

Recently I sent some books to Amazon using their Fulfilled By Amazon program. That renewed my interest in the eCommerce business model. I never really lost interest but I still don’t want to put my hands on the inventory. That is a sticking point for me.

I belong to a group on Facebook started by the owner of the Proven Amazon Course. His name is Jim Cockrum. He wrote a book many years ago called The Silent Sales Machine. It has since gone through many editions. This year they are having a virtual conference called Ecommerce Opportunity 2022 Conference. It is free to people who have purchased the Proven Amazon Course. They are live streaming presentations today and tomorrow and they will be recorded as well.

One of the speakers I listened to this morning talked about how the voice we hear the loudest in our minds is our own. That means that we have to be really careful about how we talk to ourselves. He also talked about the two paths from which we need to choose. The first path is the one of compromise and giving up on our dreams. The second is one of sacrifice and not making excuses. Either path or choice will get us to the same destination which is what we deserve.

I Am Going to Stop Right Here!

Where will you be next year at this time?

My Black Friday to Cyber Monday Hive Engine Investing Spree & 2 Goals Reached

Since my Buy Day update this last Friday I have been spending the last few days investing the Hive I have purchased. I took the 647 Hive that I acquired from the ETH swap last Saturday and powered up about 200 and invested the rest.

I increased my CHAOS Booster Pack holdings to 20. Still trying to decide if I will open them or sell them all. The temptation is to sell some and open some. When I see all the fun that @jonnycoin has opening his packs it’s hard not to want to open mine too. Maybe on Christmas Morning I will open the digital presents I bought for myself.

As of this afternoon I achieved two of the goals I set out for myself. A few weeks ago I got up to 500 HE-Index and chose 1000 to be my next goal. This afternoon after having to cancel and redo my buy orders a couple of times I managed to get there. My next HE-Index goal is 1500.

This buy order did not go through all at once.

The one larger goal I am most happy about achieving is the 50,000 staked CTP tokens. It was close enough that I just went ahead and did it. There is a staking challenge starting up on Wednesday. I am going to participate by staking what I earn from content creation, curation and delegations.

50,000+ CTP Power

Now I will focus my dollar cost average investments toward reaching my Dolphin Status on Hive. Not sure if I will get there by year’s end but it won’t be from lack of trying. Have a great rest of your Monday! See you next time.

It Finally Happened So I Have a Big Update to Yesterday’s Post!!!

I started the process of swapping my XTM tokens from Torum to ETH using Metamask on the 16th of this month. Today was the day that it finally actually worked and went through. I have to be honest I am pretty excited. And even better, the process to swap the ETH to Hive went really fast today. Of course I had help from @blainjones in the CTP Telegram group. One of the things I need to get better at is calming down and trying harder to focus. I was a little anxious. Okay, a lot anxious!

I Used Blocktrades to Swap the ETH for Some Hive

Hive is still up over 2 dollars right now so I didn’t get as much as I might have. But I am certainly happy with what I got. When I went to the CTP Telegram group with my question about swapping the ETH Blain told me I could just go directly from ETH to Hive. For some reason I thought I would have to have Litecoin in there first. This is where I kind of got a bit confused. I didn’t realize where I needed to put my Hive address to send the ETH.

This is the amount of Hive I would get from the trade minus gas fees

So I went back to Metamask, clicked on Send and entered the amount of ETH I wanted to send to Hive. I got the wallet address from Blocktrades for them to make the deposit and convert it to Hive.

The Transaction only took Seconds to Complete and I Received My Hive!

I am still about 862.547 Hive away from Dolphin so I probably won’t power it all up. Waiting till Power Up Day for that. It will be here this coming Wednesday, December 1st. Haven’t decided how much I will Power up yet. Made the decision to change my recovery account on Hive as well. Forgot that it would take a month for it to happen. My plan is still to stay the course with my dollar cost average investing. This was just a huge bonus and boost to my efforts. How interesting that it happened on Thanksgiving weekend.

In next week’s Friday Buy Day update I will let you know where I chose to invest large for me chunk of Hive. Bye for now and Enjoy the rest of the weekend.

Staying the Course with My Dollar Cost Average Plan

Got a late start on my Buy Day activities today. Yesterday was Thanksgiving Day here in the United States so I was not online most of the day.

During the Brief Time I Spent Online Last Night I Saw the Price of Hive Had Gone Up Over 3 Dollars Each

As a result I knew that I wasn’t going to get as much for my weekly investment but what I already have is worth more. When I logged on to my computer this afternoon I noticed that the Hive price had come down a bit from last night. I logged into Coinbase to start my weekly purchase of Litecoin to transfer over to Hive. On my Coinbase dashboard I noticed that there was an opportunity to earn 3 more dollars watch some videos. That made up for the fees that it was going to cost for the transfer.

The Hive got Sent to My Wallet Really Fast Today

I went in and sold some other tokens and ended up with a little over 20 or so Hive to swap. My purchase today included around 17 HE-Index Tokens and 2 More Chaos Packs. That brings my total holdings of each one to 564.56969567 HE-Index and 6 Chaos Packs. This is pretty exciting stuff for me.

My Other Two Goals: CTP Power and Hive Power are Doing Well Too

My Dolphin dream for Hive is close to 83%. If I can get my XTM to ETH to Hive transfer done I might get to 5000 Hive Power by the end of the year. I am not sure about paying more gas fees to do that. Still thinking about it. Not out of the question.

My CTP Power is at 99% of my 50,000 Goal. There is another CTP Staking Contest starting on December 1st and hosted by the CTP Swarm Booster tribe. Pretty good bet that I can get to my 50K CTP Power goal by the end of that challenge. It goes until December 22nd.

So that is all for this week’s buy day update. Next week we will be into the last month of the year. Hard to believe.

Trying to Relax But Traveling Stresses Me Out

Is it still considered travel if you’re only going two hours away? It’s a little road trip anyway. My sister is hosting Thanksgiving at her house in Madison, WI. She wanted to do it last year but COVID took that away. So tomorrow morning Roy, Dad and I are heading out to spend Thanksgiving with my sister and her son and some of our cousins.

Most of tomorrow is going to be spent setting up and prepping for the big Thanksgiving meal on Thursday. Our cousins are bringing the appetizers, desserts and wine. It will be fun to see them again. It’s been awhile.

My Dad is a born designer and decorator. When he was growing up it wasn’t acceptable for a man to pursue that as a career. But he and my mother spent years entertaining as a hobby and they were awesome at it. He is still awesome at it but gets frustrated with me because I haven’t picked up on the decorating and entertaining. There was a bit of tension going on between Dad and I earlier. I get very stressed and anxious and if I feel like too much is happening at the last minute, it’s worse. When my sister was here she picked up a bunch of supplies and chairs to take back. But we are still taking half the house with us tomorrow. Or so it seems. Believe it or not writing this blog post is helping to relieve some of that stress.

So now it’s time to chill out and relax and get some clothes and stuff packed for our little road trip. We’ll be back on Friday sometime. I am just glad we’re not having to get on a plane to go anywhere far. I’d rather not spend Thanksgiving stranded in an airport. Thank you very much. If you celebrate Thanksgiving Have a Happy One!

See you again soon!

More Fun with Metamask and My XTM Transaction

Tomorrow will be one week since I initiated the swap of XTM for ETH.

As of today when I logged into Metamask it showed the transaction as pending.

However, when I click on the transaction under Activity and then click on the arrow to go out to Etherscan, I get the result shown above. I just wish it would drop off already so I can start over and correct the mistake I made. Instead, I get to keep exercising patience and wait for it to do what it does. Whatever that is.

I found some more tokens in my wallet in Hive Engine to swap for some Hive and buy a couple more HE-Index tokens. This is the big reason I want to get that XTM swapped out and brought to Hive.

Not much else going on today. Bought a new mouse for my laptop. This time we bought a wireless one. The little one I had was wired and the cord was retractable. Thinking that it just got worn out. At first, we thought there was something wrong with the USB port on my laptop. I had another mouse that was laying around and we plugged that in to see if that was the case. Thankfully, no it wasn’t. But the mouse we plugged in had its own issue. The scroll wheel doesn’t work. Roy reminded me that it was the reason why we bought the little mouse in the first place.

So that’s been my Monday so far! Not horrible! Just some minor frustrations. Just keep pushing past them and moving right along. Enjoy the rest of your day!
