My Black Friday to Cyber Monday Hive Engine Investing Spree & 2 Goals Reached

Since my Buy Day update this last Friday I have been spending the last few days investing the Hive I have purchased. I took the 647 Hive that I acquired from the ETH swap last Saturday and powered up about 200 and invested the rest.

I increased my CHAOS Booster Pack holdings to 20. Still trying to decide if I will open them or sell them all. The temptation is to sell some and open some. When I see all the fun that @jonnycoin has opening his packs it’s hard not to want to open mine too. Maybe on Christmas Morning I will open the digital presents I bought for myself.

As of this afternoon I achieved two of the goals I set out for myself. A few weeks ago I got up to 500 HE-Index and chose 1000 to be my next goal. This afternoon after having to cancel and redo my buy orders a couple of times I managed to get there. My next HE-Index goal is 1500.

This buy order did not go through all at once.

The one larger goal I am most happy about achieving is the 50,000 staked CTP tokens. It was close enough that I just went ahead and did it. There is a staking challenge starting up on Wednesday. I am going to participate by staking what I earn from content creation, curation and delegations.

50,000+ CTP Power

Now I will focus my dollar cost average investments toward reaching my Dolphin Status on Hive. Not sure if I will get there by year’s end but it won’t be from lack of trying. Have a great rest of your Monday! See you next time.

Trying to Relax But Traveling Stresses Me Out

Is it still considered travel if you’re only going two hours away? It’s a little road trip anyway. My sister is hosting Thanksgiving at her house in Madison, WI. She wanted to do it last year but COVID took that away. So tomorrow morning Roy, Dad and I are heading out to spend Thanksgiving with my sister and her son and some of our cousins.

Most of tomorrow is going to be spent setting up and prepping for the big Thanksgiving meal on Thursday. Our cousins are bringing the appetizers, desserts and wine. It will be fun to see them again. It’s been awhile.

My Dad is a born designer and decorator. When he was growing up it wasn’t acceptable for a man to pursue that as a career. But he and my mother spent years entertaining as a hobby and they were awesome at it. He is still awesome at it but gets frustrated with me because I haven’t picked up on the decorating and entertaining. There was a bit of tension going on between Dad and I earlier. I get very stressed and anxious and if I feel like too much is happening at the last minute, it’s worse. When my sister was here she picked up a bunch of supplies and chairs to take back. But we are still taking half the house with us tomorrow. Or so it seems. Believe it or not writing this blog post is helping to relieve some of that stress.

So now it’s time to chill out and relax and get some clothes and stuff packed for our little road trip. We’ll be back on Friday sometime. I am just glad we’re not having to get on a plane to go anywhere far. I’d rather not spend Thanksgiving stranded in an airport. Thank you very much. If you celebrate Thanksgiving Have a Happy One!

See you again soon!

Don’t Let a High-Ticket Price Hold You Back From Getting Coaching for Your Business!

Let me start out by saying that I have been to some higher-ticket live coaching events. They were really good but what happens after that is what matters.

This morning an ad for this event appeared in my Facebook feed. I couldn’t resist. I had to click through to find out what the investment was for an event like this. I almost feel off my chair.

I have nothing against Tony Robbins. He’s actually pretty interesting and I have heard some videos from him. Still don’t get the whole walking on hot coals thing though. That’s always been a weird thing I don’t understand. How is walking on hot coals going to help me build my business, exactly? Pretty sure that’s just me. Another advantage of attending a virtual event like this is that you can stay home in your sweats or pajamas. No added travel expenses either. I didn’t copy the whole list of features.

Most People Can’t Dream of Justifying This Level of Investment

So, are there ways to get coaching without putting out thousands of dollars for a week? Sure are!

I belong to a great community of entrepreneurs called Click Track Profit. They have a Telegram group and someone is always there to lend a hand and answer questions. Click Track Profit also has an Inner Circle Mastermind group to which I belong as well. That is a paid membership but well within my budget and on Wednesday nights we have our video calls where we talk about what we are doing in our business and where we need help to improve. There is a Telegram group that goes with the Inner Circle Mastermind where every morning Blain asks how they can help us build our business.

Any other ways to get coaching for little or no financial investment?

Listen to Podcasts: There are a ton of them out there and sometimes even listening to podcasts that have nothing to do with business can spark some creative ideas. Podcasts are the listening choice of many high-income and successful people.

Watch a Ted Talk: They’re usually pretty short if you’re pressed for time.

Read books by authors who you would like to have as coaches. Sometimes you can get sample chapters on Amazon if you don’t want to or can’t buy the book.

There you go! Three ways to get coaching for your business or other parts of your life you’d like to improve without having to shell out hundreds or thousands of dollars.

Have a great rest of your Saturday!

Back to My Regularly Scheduled Workday

Yesterday I was prepping for a medical procedure and spent most of the day away from my computer. I got home at around ten this morning after having to be there at 7 for the procedure that was scheduled at 8 am. Feels good to have it all done. The medical procedures must increase as we get older. I don’t have to do it again for another 5 years and by then I will be on Medicare.

I Was Away From My Desk But Managed to Fit in Some Curation Using My Phone

And while I was sitting on the couch using my phone to post comments on Hive, Roy was busy assembling my new desk/workstation.

Desk/Workstation

It has a shelf for my external monitor so now I don’t have a stack of books taking up space. There isn’t a bar going across the bottom like the table I was using so I can sit closer. It has a hook on the side for my headset and a nice big drawer. The table I was using is an antique that my parents acquired a long time ago. It is nice but I wasn’t able to sit close enough and it was causing some of my knee pain. Kind of like in the car where I have to sit so close I pray the airbag never gets activated. That would hurt. But if I don’t sit close enough I can’t reach the pedals. Short girl problems.

Table I was using as my desk on its side and ready to be taken out of the house.

My next investments will be some good lighting and a decent microphone. All in due time.

Still Waiting for My Metamask Transaction to Get Unstuck.

And today I was poking around on Brave to check out their new wallet feature. I had to get a new seed phrase and password. I didn’t spend too much time looking for the old one. Evidently, I have an Etherium wallet there too.

That Metamask transaction is still pending. The frustrating part of that is that there are tokens that will be moved. I hope it just fails soon so I can start it over. Might do the trade using another platform though.

Tonight is Thursday Night Live @ 8 p.m. EST

Jon and Blain will be streaming their always awesome online marketing, entrepreneur, and affiliate marketing training. Join us live on their Click Track Profit Facebook Page, Twitch.tv, and Vimm.tv You can catch the replay but live is so much more fun!

See you there tonight! Have a great rest of your day!

Got My XTM to My Wallet and Tried to Swap it for Etherium

This has been a real adventure so far and it still isn’t over. As of this morning I received the email that the transfer of my XTM was sent to Metamask. Yay.

Have to Swap the XTM for a Crypto Currency that is Accepted on Blocktrades.

Metamask is a whole new world for me. And not the most user-friendly way to exchange Crypto Currency. The transactions are not free and not cheap or fast either. The crypto I needed to swap XTM for is ETH. I had to deposit FIAT to cover the gas fees that the transaction requires. Next Step is to make the swap.

I had to approve the XTM for swapping in Metamask too. So many steps to this.

I have been waiting most of the day for this swap to complete. Then I found out this afternoon that I essentially never swapped any XTM. The transaction is stuck and I don’t have enough gas fees to cancel it. And I am not going to pay more to speed up a transaction that isn’t going to amount to anything. So I will wait now to see if and when it gets unstuck so I can start over. Maybe in another platform. Not Metamask. Fingers crossed.

Success with Hive Today!!!

Last night on the Crypto Monday webinar, Blain announced the update of HivePay.io. He added the ability to deposit Hive tokens to Hive swap for a lower fee than even Leodex.io. It means we get more of our Hive to use on trades in Hive Engine. There are other updates to HivePay but this is the one I took advantage of today.

Pretty Simple Easy Deposit of Liquid Hive to SwapHive in Hive Engine.

I sold a few other tokens and bought some HE-Index tokens which brought my HE-Index holdings really close to my goal.

I Decided that I Would Check Other Sources for Crypto to Trade

To see if I could get to my goal. I logged in to Uphold, Coinbase and Blocktrades. Uphold had some BAT tokens and in Coinbase I watched some videos and earned another ten dollars. I converted both of these to Litecoin and from there to Hive. When the Hive showed up in my wallet I made bought the HE-Index tokens that pushed me to my first goal and a bit over.

I Have Accumulated Just Over 508 HE-Index tokens as of Today.

We will see what happens by tomorrow with that other transaction. It is good to have these learning experiences.

Friday Buy Day Week 2 — Just a Little Short of My First Goal of 500 Index Tokens!

I should really just be calling these Friday Goal Updates.

I started my “Buy Day” yesterday but I was using just what was in my wallet. The dollar cost averaging using the $12.50 a week is on Fridays.

As I was going through my wallet on Hive Engine yesterday I noticed that I had some tokens I could sell to get Hive tokens. One of them was the WAIV token that I sold to get 31 Hive. That was the most Hive I have had to use at one time. This was just from what I have earned from content creation and curation.

Added a Couple of CHAOS Legion Packs to My Holdings

Yesterday I read a post from my good friend Chris, @chris.topher about buying a Chaos Legion Pack on Splinterlands using Voucher tokens. Then I saw a comment on this post from @achim03 that caught my eye.

So I used a little over 20 Hive to buy 2 CHAOS Legion Packs myself and get into that action on Splinterlands. I am not playing the game but I am very interested in the passive income opportunities that are available there.

I used the remainder of those Hive tokens to buy a little over 13 more Index.

At the end of all of this trading I was around 44 Index away from my goal of 500. For some reason I thought I would hit my goal between yesterday and today. But I am closer here.

Logged into Coinbase this Morning to Convert My FIAT to Hive

I started today by logging into Coinbase and funding my account with $13.99 because after the fees I was still under the $12.50 that I want to invest. That’s a little frustrating. I bought the Litecoin on Coinbase that I then sent to my wallet to buy Hive.

My next step was to log in to Leodex.io to deposit the Hive into my wallet.

I was able to get a little more Hive because the price was down slightly this morning.

I had a small amount of VOUCHER and some other tokens that I could sell to add to the 15 Hive and bring it up to around 22 Hive to use for buying more Index today.

Less Than 20 Index Away from My First Goal!

I have to admit that I am a bit disappointed. Just a bit. I know I will probably get there before next Friday. I will be rolling my earnings from other tokens into acquiring more Index throughout the week.

Dolphin Status on Hive is Not Terribly Far Away!

Once I reach my first Index Holdings Goal I am going to pour a little more of my FIAT into reaching my 5000 HP goal. I really want to get there by the end of the year. Most of the Hive Power I have is from my earnings.

I am back to creating posts more consistently and adding to that commenting on at least 10 posts from other people everyday. One of the keys is to find new people to engage with each day. Look for people who are just starting out and give them some encouragement to keep going. It doesn’t cost anything but a little bit of time to help people and raise them up.

Last But Not Least My CTP Power Goal

On our Inner Circle Mastermind this last Wednesday evening we were talking about our goals and how we were going to reach them. My third goal was to get my CTP Power goal to 50,000. Blain pointed out that if I just undelegated some of the tokens that were no longer being used I could get there fairly quickly. I began that process. They will be completed in the next few days. Once they’re completed I will be at 48,678.82 CTP Power. I will actually be over the 50K except for one 10K delegation I am leaving in place. Without it I am only 1,321.18 CTP Power away.

Not a bad week overall and a reinforcement of what Jon and Blain have been telling us all along. I don’t have money and I don’t have time are just excuses. I haven’t used very much money out of pocket until recently and I have found pockets of time to create content and comment on posts from other people.

See you next week with more progress on my goals!

The Journey Is Seldom a Straight Line and We…

This morning we drove into Chicago to stay at the condo for an overnight. When we got almost here we ran into a road closure. We had to reroute and that is where I freaked out a bit. I am glad I wasn’t driving. Roy was driving and my Dad was sitting in the back seat. They were both very chill about the whole thing.

There are so many one-way streets here in the city and so many were closed off. Very frustrating. It’s a good thing my Dad knows his way around here like the back of his hand and got us through all the craziness.

My business journey has had many bumps and roadblocks as well. Some of it was because of personal things going on in my life that I couldn’t control. Some of it was under my control. I have to say that I handled them quite a bit better than I handled the drive today. When I come down here on my own I take the train. I like moving. Not just sitting still in traffic and not being able to see the road ahead. But that is me and something I need to improve upon. We are not always going to know what is ahead. Can’t fret about it. Just need to course-correct as necessary.

Have a great rest of the day and evening.

How Often Do You Want to Receive Emails?

I have a question for you today.

It has to do with email lists. How often do you want to receive emails when you subscribe to a list?

I know I don’t mind receiving several emails because I subscribe to lists to get the information they are sharing. I have my inboxes organized with filters for each list.

On the other hand, I don’t hesitate to unsubscribe when they send emails that are no longer relevant to the topic of the list. Or when all the list owner sends is promotions. One of the reasons I am asking is because I am curious to learn what other people want from the lists they subscribe to.

My understanding is that emails should be 75 percent or more education/information and 25 percent or less promotions. That ratio is supposed to be the way to keep readers interested and subscribed. That is what I have learned from my mentors in Click. Track. Profit (Jon, Blain and Eliana) I would love to know your opinion. Feel free to share and comment.

Have a great day!

Happy Friday! My Week was Great! How Was Yours?

This has been a pretty good week and so I don’t mind that it is already Friday.

I have been working on my Lead Capture Pages for another project and with that, I learned how to create a link rotator. My goal is to have most everything for my projects hosted on my domain in order to build my brand.

On our Click Track Profit, Inner Circle Mastermind Blain introduced me to the Bootstrap CSS framework for building pages that look good on mobile phones. If you don’t know what CSS stands for, it’s Cascading Style Sheets. My understanding of it is that it’s what makes your pages look pretty. I spent some time with it this morning and I will probably work with it again this afternoon.

I was trying to use it to put my favicon on my lead capture pages so that they will show up as my blog posts do. The little picture of me up there on the tab is a favicon. It lets your audience know that they have reached your site. Right now my lead capture pages don’t have them and it’s a little frustrating. But I will get it figured out. I enjoy trying to work on stuff and find the answers myself first. I don’t wait too long to ask questions though because I have so much I want to get done. Sometimes I am even able to help other people and share what I have learned.

One of the best ways to retain what you have learned is to teach it to someone else. That is much easier to do when the audience you’re trying to teach or train is receptive to learning. In my corporate job I had two people reporting to me who were not so receptive to learning how to catalog. I gave up because it was just easier for me to do it myself. And I loved the cataloging part of my job way more than the supervising part.

I hope everyone has a great rest of your Friday. I will be back here again tomorrow.
